Women's Health Fair

The Punxsutawney Area Hospital is excited to host the annual Women’s Health Fair on Wednesday, October 23rd from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital. This event includes the following free screenings which include Blood Pressure Readings (Unlimited), Bone Density Checks (Unlimited), 50 Free Lipid Panel & A1C Blood draws (First Come, First Serve), 50 Free STI Tests (First Come, First Serve), 10 Free Mammography Screenings (Eligible & Pre-Registered), and 10 Free Pap Tests (Eligible & Pre-Registered). The mammograms and pap tests are being offered the Breast & Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program. The eligibility requirements specifically to register for these two tests are: 40 years of age or at high risk, uninsured or underinsured, your last mammogram was completed a year or more previously or you have never had one completed, and you currently do not have a mammogram scheduled. If you are interested in preregistering for free mamo or can’t make the health fair but interested in learning more, please call the OB/GYN office at 814-938-3343. The event will also include mini talks, educations stations, and great giveaways. Topics for the event include but are not limited to: UTI’s, pregnancy, menopause, healthy eating, mental health, and many others.
